Dr. Cristy Steinberg is a Doctor of Physical Therapy turned entrepreneur who has dedicated her career to redefining how people access and experience movement-based healthcare. Ten years ago, she recognized a significant gap in the Chicagoland area: individuals who needed outpatient physical therapy but lacked convenient, personalized access to it. She launched one of the region’s first mobile outpatient physical therapy practices, a model that was once uncommon but has since become the norm. Her early vision helped pave the way for a more flexible, patient-centered approach to rehabilitation.
Two years ago, she identified another unmet need: the integration of emerging technology to enhance clinical outcomes. By investing in advanced tools that deliver data-driven analysis and measurable results, she expanded her practice to provide patients with clearer insights, more personalized progress tracking, and improved long-term outcomes.
Today, she is entering an exciting new chapter. With a passion for longevity, movement science, and whole-body health, she is developing a specialized approach for individuals wanting a more pro-active approach to their movement health. Her work focuses on helping people stay active, navigate movement flare-ups, understand their bodies, and feel supported when they don’t know where else to turn.
Blending her love of high-level physical activity, precision with movement analysis and deep understanding for the role of technology in the future of movement longevity, she is committed to creating a space where individuals can optimize their health, maintain their independence, and achieve the quality of life they deserve.
Dr. Mitchell Powell is a residency-trained physical therapist who believes that movement is one of the most powerful tools we have to heal, grow, and create meaning in our lives. A lifelong mover who is always exploring what he is physically capable of through running, lifting, hiking, and HYROX and Spartan-style training, Mitchell views movement not just as exercise but as a way of life.
He began his professional journey in the first-ever cohort of the Tufts University Doctor of Physical Therapy program, where he developed a strong foundation in evidence-based, patient-centered care. After graduation, he was honored to become the first orthopedic resident for physical therapy at Washington University in St. Louis. There, he worked alongside an exceptional team to support the early development of the residency and contributed to its successful accreditation.
Drawing on his clinical training, Mitchell takes a whole-person approach to how he treats patients. He also recognizes that pain and recovery may be influenced by more than muscles and joints. Factors such as sleep, nutrition, stress, social engagement, and daily habits all play essential roles in a person’s well-being. His passion now lies in healthspan, preventive medicine, and lifestyle-based care, with a focus on helping individuals live healthier and happier lives at every age and supporting long-term prevention.
Mitchell is especially driven by the belief that movement not only restores physical ability but also supports fuller engagement in the moments that matter most. He wants his patients to feel free to spend quality time with the people they love, without pain or limitation interfering with important experiences.
Beyond his orthopedic background, Mitchell brings a warm, human-centered style that helps patients regain confidence, improve function, and return to the activities that bring meaning to their lives. He is also excited to incorporate emerging technology and digital health tools to complement orthopedic care, support long-term health, and enhance patient outcomes.
